On Thursday afternoon, Capitals legend Nicklas Backstrom appeared at the Verizon store in Rockville, MD, with many fans in the DMV lining up to take pictures and get autographs from him.
Backstrom was there to promote the Rock the Red Retail Takeover presented by Verizon, one day before the Caps’ Rock The Red-themed home game against the Detroit Red Wings. Mike Green was already at the Verizon store in Reston, VA on Wednesday, while Karl Alzner was at the one in Fredericksburg, VA on Tuesday.
Fans in attendance for the Backstrom meet-and-greet got some goodies, like a red scarf that says “Rock the Red.”
