As the Caps celebrate their 50th anniversary, the second (notable) era, 1997-2005, came into focus Saturday as the ‘Don-Com’ Caps had their moment at Capital One Arena.
In attendance were former players Mark Tinordi, Sylvain Cote, Joe Juneau, Calle Johansson, Peter Bondra and Olaf Kolzig. It was also bobblehead night, with the stadium giveaway being a double bobblehead of Kolzig and Bondra.
Previous, the ‘Pioneers’ dropped the ceremonial puck, when Yvon Labre, Dennis Maruk, Paul Mulvey and Errol Rausse dropped by.
