Almost a Goalie Fight

Lindgren, Ullmark only get 'leaving the crease' penalties

With the Caps down 4-0 to the Senators on Saturday, goalie Charlie Lindgren had it. Near the end of the second period after a shot and a whistle, he left his crease and got into a scrum, making Ottawa goaltender Linus Ullmark leave his crease, cross the red line and toss his glove, but the refs prevented the goalie fight. However, they both got leaving the crease penalties, while Ottawa’s Ridly Greig took a two-minute roughing penalty and Martin Fehérváry took a double minor.

The period ended shortly after, and Caps fans booed, with the team posting only six shots on net after two periods.
