Let’s Hope Bruce Boudreau’s Caps Analysis Is as Crazy As We Imagine

NBC Sports Washington on Thursday announced a lineup of familiar faces who will be covering the Caps this upcoming season, including Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin – their 24th season together – Alan May, Al Koken and Brent Johnson.

Then we saw another name that made us jump out of our seats: Bruce Boudreau, former Caps coach from 2008 to 2011.

The odd thing about Boudreau joining NBC Sports now is that it was recently announced that he would be bringing a USPHL junior hockey team to Hershey, Pa., according to Tarik El-Bashir, though he’s leaving open the possibility of coaching another team in the NHL. The shortened season won’t make that possibility any easier, though it would be hard to believe that he doesn’t get another coaching job at some point.

Regardless, the best case scenario here is that Caps fans will get the pleasure of hearing Boudreau’s analysis a few times this season.

So, what will he say?

Obviously, it would be like a mad-lib filled in with variations of the F-word, which would then be bleeped for television. Let’s watch his motivational speech just to get a preview of what we can only hope to see again soon.
