Former Cap Justin Williams Retires
(Caps Outsider)
Former Cap and all-around awesome person Justin Williams announced his retirement Thursday after a 19-year career. He spent the last three seasons with Carolina, and helped knock the Capitals out of the playoffs last year. While the Caps fell short of winning a Stanley Cup during his two year-tenure, they did win back-to-back Presidents’ Trophies and created some memorable moments.
Here’s to you, Justin Williams, in a great career where you won three Stanley Cups and a playoff MVP award. Thanks for the memories!
Learned a ton from you and always loved competing against you. One of the best in the game. See you around @JustinWilliams #rightside pic.twitter.com/V9amEElq9F
