Braden Holtby Gets Stellar Assist

(Caps Outsider)

Caps goaltender Braden Holtby often plays the puck and makes long passes to an open player at the blue line, but it rarely leads to a 2-on-0 break, which happened Monday against the Predators.

With Nashville making a line change, Holtby got the puck and made a long pass to Devante Smith-Pelly, who skated in and passed to Chandler Stephenson, who had a layup past goaltender Pekka Rinne.

It was the second assist of the season for Holtby, and tenth of his career.
