Sergei Ovechkin Helps Turn the Counter to 800
(Caps Outsider)
In the first period of Thursday’s game against the Stars, the Capitals showed a video montage of Alex Ovechkin and his road to 800 goals, which he got Tuesday night against Chicago. After the video, they cut over to Ovi, and the crowd gave him a standing ovation. After that, they cut over to the Slapshot – the mascot – in his ‘nest’ with an Ovi goal counter. A special guest showed up – Ovi’s four-year-old son Sergei Ovechkin to help unveil ‘800.’
Here’s the video.
