Sonny Milano’s Father, Frank, Reads Opening Lineup

It’s the annual dads and mentors trip for the Caps, and New York native Frank Milano, the pops of Caps forward Sonny Milano, read the opening lineup in the locker room ahead of the game against the Islanders.

Introduced by Coach Peter Laviolette as an ‘all around good guy,’ from Massapequa, New York, via Brooklyn, Don Mr. Milano gave a pep talk prior to the game, including this gem: “Let’s f@$%in’ pound ’em!”

At first, we’re not sure what Mr. Milano is reaching for in his Stadium Series jacket in this screen grab (it turns out it’s just a sheet of paper), but after the 5-1 victory, it’s clear that the Caps were either pumped up by Mr. Milano’s speech, or so scared that they had no choice but to win.

Either way, we’re happy to be introduced to Mr. Milano, and we request that he gets to call the opening lineup, and perhaps even be in charge of team security, for here on out.

Also, Sonny’s father, Frank Milano, is not to be confused with Cleveland crime boss, Frank Milano.

Later, the Caps gave our their rope of the game. Tom Wilson, the previous winner, gave it to T.J.Oshie (while dedicating the win to Ovechkin and Oshie’s departed fathers), who immediately tried to give it to Frank Milano, who wasn’t there, so instead he gave it to Sonny.
