At Least Christian Djoos Scored That Awesome Goal

(Caps Outsider)

In an otherwise forgettable game in the second of a back-to-back 4-1 loss to Florida, rookie Christian Djoos scored a goal that typically only veteran superstars score. If we saw the goal and had to guess which player scored it, Djoos wouldn’t have made our top 15 guesses.

That’s a goal that an all-star right wing is supposed to score, or a center. T.J. Oshie, Nicklas Backstrom and Evgeny Kuznetsov can take a look at this and learn something.

“I felt like I got a lot of time, so I try to take it to the net,” Djoos said after the game.

Djoos is 23 year old and finally playing in the NHL after years in the minors. With goals like this, the future is promising. Maybe not on D, but definitely on the right wing.

It was the second goal of the season for Djoos, who also scored ten days ago in his first NHL game. In that game, the Caps lost 3-2.
