Brooks Orpik Plays 800th Career Game

(Caps Outsider)

Caps defenseman Brooks Orpik played in his 800th NHL career game Wednesday against the Montreal Canadiens.  After missing 40 straight games with a lower body injury, the 6’3″, 221-pound Orpik recently returned to the Caps line-up.  He ranks 32nd among active defensemen in NHL games played.  He has registered 159 points–15 goals and 144 assists.  Orpik  has also had his share of penalty minutes with 818 in 800 games. Since playing for the Caps, he has earned 28 points–2 goals, 25 assists and 84 penalty minutes in 97 games.

Congrats to Brooks Orpik on his 800th.  Another awesome milestone for one of the Caps!
