Former two-time heavy weight boxing champion Riddick Bowe tweeted out his support for the NHL’s first openly gay player on Tuesday, our very own four-time “Rocket” Richard trophy winner, Alexander Ovechkin.

Of course, the only problem here is that Ovechkin isn’t actually gay (Our 8 predictions for Ovi’s wedding doesn’t include him coming out of the closet). At some point Bowe may have realized this, and then followed up saying he still supports Ovi regardless of his sexual orientation, while also professing his well-known love of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
