The Caps have done the gnome thing before, and even an elf thing once, both times with Nicklas Backstrom. But this year, they’re doing a T.J. Oshie gnome, which they’re giving away to folks who buy a holiday pack of tickets.
Typically, season ticket holders get frustrated with these sort of promotions because those special tickets don’t include them, though I’ve also seen the Caps make it up to them after the complaints came trickling in.
Later this season, the Caps will be giving away an Alex Ovechkin goal-counter bobblehead to everyone in attendance.
