The Caps will continue their last multi-game road trip of the season Friday as they face the Avalanche in Colorado, before heading to Phoenix on Saturday. Just like the Flyers, the Avalanche are fighting for their playoff lives.

Colorado has lost 3 of their last 4, and a loss against the Caps might just end their season as they sit 5 points behind Minnesota for the second wild card spot in the Western Conference. The Avalanche also have two key players out with injuries in Matt Duchene and Nathan MacKinnon who may return against the Caps.

Somethings to look for n this game will be how the Caps respond after losing a tough and emotional game to the Flyers. In addition, pay attention to the lines and see what coach Barry Trotz decides to do as he looks to get the perfect combinations before heading into the playoffs.
