For the Caps, It Shouldn’t Hurt So Bad, But It Does
The Caps had the Panthers beat three games in a row, but...
Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson played his 400th career regular season game on Tuesday, one of the few noteworthy things in the Caps’ game against the Sharks.
More remarkably, however, is that Carlson has played 380 of those games consecutively, which is second place on the Caps all-time streak. Not to jinx it, but Carlson’s real accomplishment will come about midway through the season when he breaks Bobby Carpenter‘s streak of 422 games.
Alzner is two games behind him in the consecutive games department. Last we checked, they’re still in competition for it.
