The Inflatable Toyota Camry Drone

Unless we’ve somehow missed it previously, we believe the Washington Capitals are set to unveil a new Inflatable Toyota Camry Drone at Verizon Center this evening during the Avalanche game. We saw the new vehicle taking a pair of practice flights before the arena opened this afternoon, presumably as arena staff prepare for their driver’s license test. Will the Camry Drone will be dropping coupons for free Toyotas to the patrons of Verizon Center? Is this new drone part of the Caps’ campaign to get President Obama to come to a game? (he loves drones)

On one side it has the new Toyota slogan, “Let’s Go Places.” On the other it features, “Let’s Go Caps.” It appears from practice runs that the Toyota Camry will only fly over the ice, likely to avoid a random fan carjacking. While it’s certainly not as much fun as Parachuting Chick-fil-A Cows, we generally welcome new intermission distractions. Obviously if the Capitals lose tonight though, the Camry will need to be immediately sacrificed to the Hockey Gods.
