via the Caps Red Rockers
Now that the Stanley Cup playoffs are over, NHL organizations are actively planning for the 2014-2015 season. The Caps are no exception as they recently announced the audition schedule for their elite spirit squad, the Red Rockers. Auditions will begin on Saturday, July 19 at Sport & Health: Crystal Gateway in Arlington, VA.
The Red Rockers are not traditional cheerleaders, although cheering and encouraging fans to loudly and enthusiastically support the team is part of the job. They are ambassadors for the Washington Capitals organization at home games and throughout the community. They possess qualities that exude pride in themselves and the organization.

In January 2013, we met Erin. At that time, she had been a Red Rocker for two years. Her passion for the team and the fans, coupled with her steadfast commitment to the Caps organization, made her the perfect choice in the fall of 2013 for the job of In Game Host. You can see Erin on the big screen at Caps home games doing interviews, conducting games and giving away prizes.
We profiled Red Rocker Danielle in December 2013. It was her rookie season and she had traveled from California to Washington, DC to be a part of the political scene. She was excited to audition for the Red Rockers and a sports organization with such a great reputation. Danielle quickly became a fan favorite!
In March 2014, we interviewed Red Rocker Christie. A veteran with the organization, she had been a Red Rocker for three years. Christie proved to be a very popular Red Rocker at home games and community events.
It was clear that all of these young women are bright, vivacious, personable, and confident, and that’s exactly what the Caps organization is looking for again this season.
