JB Smoove As a Caps Fan Brightened Our Day
JB Smoove, who plays news cameraman Ray on CBS’s The Millers, wears a Washington Capitals jersey in the Nov. 21, episode of The Millers. During the episode several of the show’s characters attend a Washington Capitals game together.
After waking up and realizing that the Caps-Penguins ‘rivalry’ game from last night wasn’t a nightmare, the Caps issued a press release with a killer photo of comedian J.B. Smoove dressed as the most rabid Caps fan ever, from an episode of CBS’s The Millers. Creator and executive producer Greg Garcia is no stranger to putting local area references in his shows, including My Name is Earl and Raising Hope.
“Growing up in Arlington, Va., I’ve been a Caps fan for a long time,” Garcia said. “Once my son Nathan started playing hockey, we started watching the Caps together. Since The Millers takes place in Leesburg, Va., it makes sense that the characters are Caps fans as well.”
Soon enough, the photo was making the Photoshop rounds:

So move over Goat, Horn Guy, Tom Green, Capstronaut, that guy in the Caps cape, and Ovie the Bulldog, and make room for JB Smoove!
