The Capitals have had about 160 defensemen on the roster since 1974. Sorting them by games played, and taking only the top 30 (you’re welcome, John Carlson), we’ll let fans pick their top five favorites of all time. This isn’t easy because five of these fellas are still on the roster, which gives them an edge with the young folks and those with no sense of history. But who wouldn’t pick Team Ambassador Rod Langway or assistant coach Calle Johansson?
