Charlie Lindgren Named NHL’s First Star of the Week

(Caps Outsider)

Congratulations to Caps (backup) goaltender, Charlie Lindgren, who was named the NHL’s player of the week. He led the league in both wins, with four, and saves, with 111 and a 1.5 goals-against-average. He also had a .949 save percentage.

He also got the Caps’ ‘rope of the game‘ in a 4-1 win against the Seattle Kraken.

In the four games, which Lindgren played since starter Darcy Kuemper got injured, the Caps beat Edmonton, Philadelphia, Seattle and Winnipeg.

The second star of the week was Buffalo’s Tage Thompson, and the third was Toronto’s William Nylander.
