Radko Gudas Scores First Goal as a Capital

(Caps Outsider)

Caps defenseman Radko Gudas never scored much in his career – he’s one of those ‘stay-at-home-defenseman’ types – but he finally notched his first goal of the season and first as a Washington Capital on Saturday as he put the Caps on the board in the first period.

His father was in attendance and he said they’d definitely get some beer after the game. Gudas also hasn’t picked a personalized goal song yet because he was waiting for one of his shots to actually go in.

It was Gudas’s 37th game with Washington. He previously played with tonight’s opponent, the Tamp Bay Lightning, and the Philadelphia Flyers. He’s got 25 goals in 453 career games.
