Dmitry Orlov Stanley Cup Bobblehead Review
The Washington Capitals are Stanley Cup Champions and that means one thing… WE GET BOBBLEHEADS! As we detailed already, there are going to be 24 Stanley Cup-themed bobbleheads, produced by FOCO, available come September. Since that’s still a ways away we thought it would be fun to spend that time taking a closer look at each bobblehead included in this lineup.
It’s been a bumpy road for Dmitry Orlov since joining the Caps, but this season he was the undeniable number one defenseman of the Washington Capitals and did he ever prove that the 6 year extensions he recieved prior to the start of the year was worth it. His play, along with fellow partner Matt Niskanen, helped to shut down the likes of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Artemi Panarin, Nikita Kucherov, and Steven Stamkos to help the Caps overcome what we all thought was impossible and win 16 games in a single playoff run. Now that number one defenseman is holding the Cup not only in real life, but in bobblehead form as well.
The beard makes this bobblehead. You could make the face look literally any way you wanted but the second you put that beard on it screams Orlov. Kind of reminds me of Captain Jack Sparrow. Nevertheless it’s nice to see they did a good job on Orlov’s bobblehead because he deserved every bit of it.
