With Stanley Cup, Jay Beagle Gets Trifecta

Jay Beagle is the first winner of a Stanley Cup, a Calder Cup, and a Kelly Cup, which Mike Vogel researched and verified several years ago. Of course, it’s been a long time coming for Beagle, as he’s been on the championship-favorite Caps since 2008-2009.

Beagle won the Kelly Cup in the ECHL while he was with the Idaho Steelheads in 2006–07. A scout recruited the undrafted forward to the Hershey Bears, where he won Calder Cups in 2009 and 2010. A million Nine years later, he got the trifecta.

Congratulations, Beags. Let’s hope the Caps find cap space to sign him for a couple of more seasons for the money you deserve.
