The Washington Capitals hosted their 16th annual Salute to the Military Night on Tuesday. The second intermission featured the USA Warriors sled hockey team.
The USA Warriors, based out of Rockville Maryland, encourages individuals who have disabilities incurred during military service to the United States to participate in the sport of ice hockey in an environment that is adapted to the level of their ability. The Program also supports the formation of “USA Warrior Hockey Programs” locally and nationally. The USA Warriors’ programs consist of standing team and sled or “sledge” hockey teams. The USA Warriors is a strictly volunteer organization.
