A new song has hit Sound Cloud titled “Ovi” from Young_Planet. The opening of the song is nice and simple. In the background you can hear Joe Beninati’s call of “The Goal” while a main voice simply says “Ovi” three times.
The really is no chorus of the song but the opening lyrics are”Ovi Ovi Ovi Ovi Ovi’s coming tell your goalie/ see the red light twist from the one and only.”
Another line is “Keep on goin’ ’till our team is holdin’ up the trophy.” The lyrics also comment on Ovi’s speed saying “The defense looks slower than some zambonis.”
Next up, some shots against rival teams. “Kill the Rangers, kill the Bruins, Islanders get ruin/ Stranglin’ some Penguins, Flyers don’t know what they doin’.
Young_Planet also gives a shout out to the fans by saying “Rockin’ the red, show your love for the team.”
In terms of fan made playoff songs, I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars. It is nice to have something up since the “Caps Rap.”
WMZQ recently made a Caps song, country style, but it’s nothing to write home about.
