Bears Fall to Bruins to End 2016

The Hershey Bears looked to cap off 2016 with a win over the Providence Bruins Saturday at Giant Center. Unfortunately for the Bears, the Bruins, who have been hot streak, would come away with a 4-1 win.

Hershey’s Zach Sanford would score Hershey’s only goal on the power play with assists from Stanislav Galiev and Christian Thomas. Providence’s Malcom Subban stopped 28 of 29 shots on the night.

Earlier today the Bears announced that defenseman Colton Saucerman was signed to a professional tryout agreement. Saucerman has played in 15 games with Hershey’s ECHL affiliate South Carolina Stingrays.

Colton Saucerman made his Bears debut Saturday night.

With the Bears defensemen being plagued by the injury bug, Hershey needed to look to South Carolina to add to the lineup.

Hershey returns to action next Friday when they Travel to take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
