Caps Raise More Than $6,000 for Tracy’s Kids D.C.

The Caps auctioned off several paintings made by “Tracy’s Kids DC” Thursday to benefit the charity, after the players visited the patients at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital on Dec. 19. While bidding was done online, fans lined up during the Caps/Devils game to check out the artwork and other autographed items they were auctioning off.

The money raised, which was more than $6,000, will go to Tracy’s Kids D.C., which is a charity that “uses art therapy to help children with cancer to cope with the emotional toll imposed by cancer and its treatment.”

The team-signed home jersey painting raised $1,200.
