It was Mascot Night at Capital One Arena, and during the second period intermission, Caps mascot Slapshot hosted a game of musical chairs with several other feathered mascots, including Screech from the Nationals and Poe the Raven from the Baltimore Ravens. It was also National Bird Day, but that had to be a coincidence.
After several rounds of squawking and clawing over inflatable chairs, Slapshot prevailed over Poe in a final round that may or may not have involved cheating.
