Ovie the Bulldog Rocking the Red in L.A.
Our old friend, Ovie the Bulldog, was on hand for the Caps vs. Kings game Wednesday night. Caps fans certainly remember when the personable bulldog, dressed in his tailored Caps jersey, sat on the sidewalk in front of Verizon Center on game days. He made a lot of friends, and when he moved to California a couple of years ago, he was sorely missed.
But the move didn’t dampen his Caps spirit. Prior to the Caps thrilling comeback and ultimate 3-4 overtime loss to the Kings, Ovie graced the pavement at the Staples Center in LA. He greeted old friends and made new ones while sporting his white Cap jersey. Who could resist giving him a pet on the head for luck! A picture of Ovie was shown on the big screen during the game, and he was also featured in the pregame promo on CSN.
Thanks, Ovie, for Rocking the Red out on the west coast! You are still a true Superfan. Let’s Go Caps!!

In the arena, @OvietheBulldog is a voting option on the scoreboard for favorite dog. As is Kopitar's dog.
