Mystery Mini-Helmet Winners Meet Evgeny Kuznetsov

(Photos by Caps Outsider)

The Caps hosted another ‘Mystery Mini-Helmet’ fundraiser by selling autographed mini helmets, which helped raise more than $18,000 for the MSE Foundation. The ‘mystery’ is the autograph – no one knows who they will get. But five lucky winners gives them the opportunity to meet a player after the game and get their autograph. On Friday, the winners got to meet Evgeny Kuznetsov.

The winners:

  • Phil Robinson, from Glen Burnie
  • Andrew Snodgrass, from Coatesville, PA, who happened to be celebrating his birthday.
  • Jim Dean, from Bristow, Va.
  • Jim Boomgard, from Bethesda, Md.
  • Archie Bassett, from Parkville, Md..

Kuznetsov couldn’t stick around long, though, because the Caps had to catch a plane. Someone asked him when it was taking off. “Thirty minutes,” he said.

Congratulations to the winners! Please e-mail me at Capitals Outsider if you want more photos.
