For the Caps, It Shouldn’t Hurt So Bad, But It Does

After three shortened seasons in Washington, defenseman Jack Hillen was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.
Hillen’s best season with the Caps was in 2012-2013, when he had 3 goals and 6 assists in 23 games, with a +9 rating. This included a hot streak when he had three goals in four games, and 8 points in 8 games. Hillen spent most of the games injured his first two seasons, and this year, much of his time as a healthy scratch. He did, however, earn lots of praise from teammates, as Coach Barry Trotz called him a “total pro.”
Here are some of Hillen’s best moments with the Caps, which doesn’t include the two-assist game he got with little sleep after the birth of his son.
