Another Nicky? (Caps Outsider)
The Washington Capitals recently released their 2014-15 Kids Club membership options. If you sign up for the “Hat Trick Pro Package Deluxe Membership,” you will receive a boatload of awesome stuff including a Nicklas Backstrom bobblehead. The other fun items in the membership kit include a Backstrom static cling, a cereal bowl set, three passes for public skates a Kettler, spirit tattoos, and a magnet set that you can color yourself.
Now back to the main attraction, the bobblehead. Sadly we are unable to review or give you the inside scoop on this bobble, so let’s speculate what this entails:
First, there is a possibility that the Caps may just take the same mold used for the Backstrom bobblehead given away at one of Inova’s recent blood drives. Although this may be disappointing for some, it may be relief for others who couldn’t make it to the event and didn’t want to drop a lot of money snagging one off of eBay.
Second, there is a chance that maybe they haven’t released the picture for a good reason. Maybe… this Nicky bobble may be wearing a new Caps jersey. What jersey you might ask? Well, the new Winter Classic jersey, which hasn’t been seen either. Now THAT would make sense.
