Retro Stuff: Stanley Cup Puck

stanelycup_puckThis puck sure does bring back some memories. From the Capitals most successful season, when they made the Stanley Cup run in 1997-98. I remember that I was living without cable at the time (and no season tickets yet) so I had to find a bar to go to for each playoff game. That series against the Buffalo Sabres is one of my fondest Capitals memories. The series against Detroit? Not so much. I purchased this puck off of eBay about 8 years ago, in order to add to my collection. Its actually a pretty crappy design, but what are you going to do?

Do you have some old nostalgia pieces? If so, send us an e-mail at [email protected] with a photo and description of your Retro Stuff. We’ll feature it in an upcoming post, so that we can all share in the memories.
