Congratulations, Jay Beagle!

One of Caps Outsider’s favorite players, Jay Beagle, signed a 3-year deal worth $1.75 million per season to stay in Washington.

Caps defenseman John Carlson was happy too, and even tweeted to a fake Beagle twitter account:

We’ll assume Carlson was trying to be funny as there’s no way Beagle knows how to use twitter.

Aside from being one of the hardest-working players on the team, both on and off the ice, Beagle is an outright great person and well deserving of a contract like this. He runs a ball hockey camp during the offseason in Calgary, is a new father, much to Jason Chimera‘s dismay, enjoys hunting.
