Washington Capitals Bobblehead Update – January

Happy New Year, Caps fans! Here is the latest Capitals bobblehead update.
There have been a few new Capitals bobbleheads since December and announcements for a few more in the new year.

The Capitals gave out the first of three bobblehead sets this season on Dec. 14 with the Mike Gartner/ Rod Langway duo stadium giveaway. This was given out to all in attendance while honoring the “Coming of Age” era of the team. Two more duo bobbleheads will be given out, one on 2/1/2025 for the Dot Com Caps and one on 3/7/2025 for the Rock the Red Caps.
Hallmark released an Alex Ovechkin bobblehead ornament, although they call it “bouncing buddy” in advertisements. This may be a Canadian release as the packaging has French and English on it. It is different and unique compared to other bobbleheads, as the legs bounce as opposed to the head.

Coming in January, the Caps just offered a Gr8 ticket package with an Ovi goal counter included. The Capitals are calling it a “re-release” as a similar goal counter was given out as a stadium giveaway back on 3/21/2023. The image of the re-release bobblehead seems to have a slight difference. Both are pictured here so you can see the difference. For now, we will add it to our database as a variant.
Two weeks ago, FOCO announced an Alex Ovechkin Player Bobble Duck Mini Bobblehead. Here is more information on the Ovi Duck.
FOCO recently announced the Ovi Bobble Dubblz. After 72 hours, FOCO closed the ordering option with 96
bobble Dubblz ordered.
Note on three other FOCO Ovechkin pre-order bobbleheads released before December: There are three Ovi bobbleheads from FOCO that still do not have an image. Two (the Ovi Capitals Throwback Jersey and the Ovi 700 Assists & 700 Goals Career Milestone Bobbleheads) have sold out. The Washington Capitals Hat Trick Bobblehead is still available. We will wait to see what those bobbleheads look like soon.
