Back-to-Back Hat Tricks for Alex Ovechkin

Though he went an entire year without scoring a hat-trick, Alex Ovechkin made up for lost time Friday with his second consecutive hat trick in the Caps’ 6-5 shootout victory.
The first time he had back-to-back hat tricks was the first and second game of the season in 2017. He scored four goals against Montreal.
Only two other players scored back-to-back hat tricks for the Caps. Dennis Maruk did it on 11/15/1980 and Peter Bondra did it onĀ 2/5/1999.
