Hershey Bears
Caps Honor Bears’ Calder Cup Championship
The Washington Capitals honored the Hershey Bears’ Calder Cup Championship before their game against the Minnesota Wild on Friday.
The Calder Cup, however, got a taste of D.C. traffic, and was delayed getting to District E, where fans had lined up to get a photo with the AHL’s top prize.
Dylan McIlrath, Aaron Ness and Mike Vecchione participated in a ceremonial puck drop with Caps captain Alex Ovechkin, and former Cap Marcus Johansson. Johansson appeared in two games for Hershey in the 2010-11 season.
