Tom Wilson Wins Yvon Labre Award

(Caps Outsider)

Almost every season since 1984, the Caps Fan Club tallies the ballots of fans who vote on their favorite player. The winner receives the Yvon Labre award, named after the former Caps captain. The winner gets his name engraved on the trophy and receives a small trophy of his own, which is presented by the Caps Fan Club.

For the first time, Caps winger Tom Wilson received the most votes. Check out our photos of him with fans at Sport Chevrolet.

Wilson is the fifth different player to win the award in the last five years, after Alex Ovechkin won it for a decade straight.
