Willie O’Ree, John Lewis Drop The Ceremonial Pucks

To celebrate Black History Month, the Capitals hosted Willie O’Ree, the first black player to play in the NHL, and U.S. congressman John Lewis before Tuesday’s game against Ottawa.

With the Boston Bruins, O’Ree suited up for his first NHL game on Jan. 18, 1958. Lewis is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Georgia.
