Caps Honor Barry Trotz for Some Reason

(Caps Outsider)

Barry Trotz only coached four years in Washington, and according to him, it wasn’t long enough to earn a tribute video. The Caps gave him a tribute video anyway, which chronicled those four measly years of his in Washington, ending with him drenched in alcohol and acting all happy.

The Islanders stood and applauded, as did the Caps – at least those of whom even remembered him did, then the game proceeded.

After the game, Trotz said, “I was trying not to look too much because I was getting pretty close to that sensitive side of myself.”

They also honored Mitch Korn, who was a fantastic goalie coach, and Lane Lambert, who was a fantastic assistant coach.
