Video From Outside of Capital One Arena : GM3

The Washington Capitals hosted their first Stanley Cup home game in twenty years, and the fans were ready. They were greeted outside Capital One Arena by the ALLCAPS Hockey Fest, and despite some rain, fans came in droves. The celebration featured a free concert by Sting and Shaggy, Caps Alumni, Red Rockers, Slapshot and more. Sadly our video camera didn’t see any of those scenes, as massive crowds made it tough to move around prior to the game. Take a look at our fun video for what we did witness, some awesome Capitals fans rocking the red both before and after Game 3:

See our Pregame Photo Gallery for many more scenes from outside the arena.

Game 4 will feature a similar ALLCAPS Hockey Fest, and a live performance by Fallout Boy. The ALL CAPS Family Zone on F Street NW between 7th and 8th Streets offers face painting, glitter tattoos, poster-making stations and balloon artists until 8 pm. Fans attending the ALL CAPS Hockey Fest Presented by Capital One who are not attending the game may watch the game from 8th Street NW and G Street NW on the big board above McDonald’s plus additional screens on the street.
