Caps Name New In-game Host
The new in-game host for the Caps is Adam Kelsey. He made his television debut Thursday on WRCTV channel 4 at 11:00 am with Caps mascot, Slapshot, and couple of Red Rockers to kick off the season opener against the Penguins in Pittsburgh. He spoke to the midday news anchor, Barbara Harrison.
“I’ve always been a big Caps fan,” said Kelsey. I went to school here in D.C. so I’ve been Rocking the Red for a long time.”
Kelsey grew up in New Jersey where he played high school ice hockey and, more recently, worked as a baseball announcer. He is excited about his new position as he replaces fan favorite Erin Magee as in-game host. As you may recall, Magee left to pursue a graduate degree last summer.
You can visit Adam Kelsey, Slapshot and the Red Rockers at all Caps home games. It’s time to Rock the Red! Let’s Go Caps!
