Caps Prepare for Red Hot Penguins

In what may be a preview of a first round playoff series, the Caps head to Pittsburgh to face the Penguins. The Pens have won 6 of their last 7, including 5 in a row. The Pens look to continue putting distance between themselves and the Flyers and Red Wings. In addition, the Penguins look to continue to put pressure on the Islanders for third in the Metropolitan Division.

The Caps, on the other hand, look to continue to have better starts like they have in their last two games. The Caps will start a three game road trip with this game. With it becoming crunch time, it is necessary that the Caps start out strongly so they can continue rolling all four lines.

The Penguins played a rivalry game on Saturday in Philadelphia, winning 4-1 in a hard hitting affair. If the Caps start out strong and can get a a goal in the first 10 minutes of the game, they might just suck all the life out of the Penguins. A player to watch should be Justin Williams. Williams is a player that flourishes in these games. Look for him to draw some penalties and get some scoring chances in front of the net.
