Huge Alex Ovechkin Bobblehead Being Auctioned Off by Monumental Rewards

(via the Caps)

For those of you who don’t have Monumental Rewards points, here’s a compelling reason: They’re auctioning off one of those three-foot tall Alex Ovechkin bobbleheads, signed by Ovi himself. Bidding ends March 1, 2016 at 2 a.m.

Here’s the catch – you bid using your reward points (in increments of 2500). The current bid is 150,000 as of this writing. To put that in perspective, 165,000 points gets you four suite tickets on Feb. 7 against the Flyers,  30,000 gets a Capitals pre-game ‘penalty box’ experience, 12,000 gets you Caps headphones, and 3,500 gets you a Caps T-shirt. Of course, in order to get enough reward points to even place a bid, you need to buy lots of tickets to Caps, Wizards and Mystics games, and spend lots of money.

But, if you don’t have enough points to place a bid, you can also try to get another one in a raffle, where it’s 1,000 points per ticket.

The bobblehead they’re auctioning off appears to be the same one that the Caps made a few years ago – 55 total – and given to corporate sponsors. Caps Outsider found No. 52 of 55. Below are more pictures of what it looks like in its entirety. Note that other 3-foot Ovis exist.
