Brooks Laich Plays His 700th for Caps

(Caps Outsider)

Thursday night’s game against the Dallas Stars was a big night for Caps forward, Brooks Laich. The 6’2″, 195 pound forward played in his 700th Capitals game. He is only the 10th player in franchise history to reach that milestone. Laich actually played in his 700th NHL game last Wednesday in Detroit. He has earned 133 goals and 186 assists during that time for a total of 319 points.

A fan favorite for many years in Washington, the native Canadian was drafted by Ottawa in the 2001 NHL draft. He played just one game with the Senators during the 2003-4 season before he acquired by the Caps in 2005. Laich was part of trade that included an exchange for Peter Bondra.

Congratulations Brooksy!!!
