Zack Fisch: Your new Stingrays Broadcaster

For the last seven years, Jospeh Zakrzewski broadcasted Stingrays games. This summer, Zakrzewski accepted an identical role with the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League (AHL). However, the question remained for weeks: Who would replace him?

The Stingrays fans finally got their answer in Zack Fisch. Fisch spent the last three seasons as the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States Hockey League (USHL) where he was play-by-play broadcaster, manager of the team’s public relations, social media accounts and team website. He played a big role in the Dubuque community, working with the team’s school program, local and corporate sponsors as well as season and group ticket sales.

Fisch called the Fighting Saints Clark Cup Championship victory in 2013, a Bronze Medal finish in the 2013 Junior Club World Cup, the 2015 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game and the USHL Draft Show in 2013 and 2014. Prior to working with Dubuque, Fisch broadcast men’s and women’s hockey at St. Cloud State. The Sportscasters Talent Agency named him a Top 10 College Broadcaster in 2012.

Fisch is “already counting the days until puck drop” on the Stingrays 23rd Season in the Lowcountry. He knows that he has “a tough task filling the shoes of Joseph Zakrzewski, but I am excited to bring my own brand of passion and excitement to the broadcast.”
