A few nights ago, John Walton announced the next Inova Blood Drive bobblehead to be given away this summer. It’s none other than Caps defenseman Brooks Orpik.
The hard hitting defensemen is playing his first season for the Caps after signing a five year contract over the summer. He amassed more than 300 hits during the regular season while putting up 19 points, all assists. This means now that both of the Caps’ big free agent pickups are now honored with their own bobbles. Matt Niskanen got one earlier this year at the winter drive. Hopefully we’ll see some pictures (UPDATE: We got pictures!) or maybe even the bobblehead itself when we all attend next Saturday, where we’ll be getting Tom Wilson.
