The 2014 Winter Olympics are upon us and, though admittedly a little strange given Sochi’s…ahem…shall we say, transitional state, it’s as exciting as ever. Now, we here at Caps Outsider know that everyone has their preference for who should win the gold medal in men’s (and women’s!) ice hockey. We also know that when it gets right down to it, not everyone is as patriotic as they say, and fans ship their allegiance far and wide along with their favorite NHLer. So, which team are you cheering for Caps fans? Don’t worry. We won’t tell anyone.
PS. Keep in mind our beloved Capitals; John Carlson (USA), Alex Ovechkin (Russia), Nicklas Backstrom (Sweden), Marcus Johansson (Sweden) and Martin Erat (Czech Republic) are all competing in Sochi.
