Eric Fehr and the Redemption of the Healthy Scratch

Eric Fehr (Caps Outsider)

After Eric Fehr was scratched for much of November, he was welcomed back to the lineup against Toronto last Saturday. After a few losses, Coach Adam Oates was looking for a spark for the Caps, and despite the losses in the past week, Fehr has answered. In his three games since returning to the lineup, Fehr has two goals, an assist and two shootout goals.

Outside of the stats, Fehr was everywhere on the ice. “I thought we played a lot more physical on their D, and created more turnovers, and we weren’t letting them spin off us, and I think that was a big part of the second half of the game,” he said.

Fehr seems to be an ideal fit with his new line mates Mikhail Grabovski and Troy Brouwer.   After being scratched, Fehr made an impact and is proving himself to be an asset in the lineup.
