This Thursday, the Verizon Center is hosting a Scandinavian Heritage Night as the Washington Capitals take on the Minnesota Wild. In order to promote this night, Monumental Rewards has released a special ticket package for that game that includes yet another Caps bobblehead, that of Sweden’s own Nicklas Backstrom. For those who are season ticket holders, you already have access to this Caps bobble through their rewards program, but this package offers those who aren’t able to get season tickets the chance to pick it up. Tickets start at $39, and each ticket earns you a Backstrom whacky wobbler which you can pick up at Section 423-424 (until the start of the third). For those who purchase tickets through this promotion, the promo code is CAPITALS, and when you complete your purchase, the tickets and an email about redeeming your bobble should be sent to you from the Caps. Also when printing your ticket, it should have the word “Heritage” written on it to let them know that you purchased it through monumental’s special promotion. Below is the email you should receive concerning the redemption of the bobblehead:
“The Washington Capitals look forward to seeing you at the Capitals vs. Wild game tomorrow, November 7, 2013. Game time is at 7pm and because you purchased through our special Scandinavian Heritage email you will receive a Nicklas Backstrom bobble head. The game tickets have been emailed to the email address you provided and should be printed before arriving to the Verizon Center.
To claim your Nicklas Backstrom bobble head, please bring your game ticket(s) to the Capitals redemption table located on the 400 level at section 423-424. The bobble heads will be available beginning at 6pm. Please try to arrive early as we expect high traffic at the redemption table between 6:30pm-7pm and again during intermissions. You’ll be able to get your bobble head until the start of the 3rd period.

Hopefully, you can take advantage of this short notice deal as the Caps look to extend their winning streak to four games while also honoring Scandinavians.
