When you’re 37 years old, it’s safe to say that your days remaining in the NHL are either non-existent, or numbered. Either way, former Caps captain and Montgomery County native Jeff Helpern signed a one-year, 2-way deal with the Phoenix Coyotes, after a very brief stint in Europe, and having played with the New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens last year.
Halpern spoke with the Post’s Katie Carrera about a month ago at Kettler about his future in the league.
